If you want to go all-in, check out the May issue of Mood 13 Magazine for sugar scrubs, bath bombs and salts. We even made a candle so you can relax and unwind.
Homemade Hydrating Face Mask
Our homemade facial mask recipe is oatmeal based and infused with essential oils, making it an incredibly hydrating face mask. When you make the mask, any leftover mixture should be refrigerated and thrown away after three days.
Homemade Face Mask Ingredients
- 1 ⅓ cup oats
- ½ cup hot water
- 2 Tbsp plain yogurt
- 2 Tbsp honey
- 1 egg white
- Handful of raspberries or blueberries
- x2 Drops Lavender essential oil
- Food processor or blender
How to Make Your Mask
Wash your fruits and set aside. In a blender add oatmeal, egg white, yogurt, honey, fruit, and essential oil. Blend until thick. If your mask is not thick enough, you can add oats until you achieve the consistency you want. Remember, oats swell.
Because we prefer using all-natural ingredients, we used organic eggs from farm-raised/humanely raised chickens, plain organic Greek yogurt, and raw honey.
Applying Your Hydrating Face Mask
After applying the smooth, creamy, and calming mixture, we suggest leaving it on for the typical 10 – 15 minutes before gently rinsing it off.
These masks can be used as part of your revitalizing bath, or independently. And, you can store them in your refrigerator for a couple of days if needed.
Taking care of yourself is a priority. This face mask is a great way to nurture yourself and revive your mojo. Remember, “you’re the only one of you!”
