If you’re anything like us, you don’t need an excuse to throw a movie night, especially if you have our Chocolate Covered Candy Popcorn recipe! Movie nights are always a blast. Especially a “Swiftie” movie night. And what better way to celebrate a month of “ME!” than with a French-themed evening for you and your friends?
In our May issue, we give you everything you need to throw an awesome Swiftie Movie Night and invite your friends for an evening (or a whole night, you only live once) of French films, crafting, snacks and wine. To add the element of “ME!” to it, we used pastels, themed beads for our crafts, and chose French films that possibly inspired scenes from the music video.
In our Swiftie Movie Night section you’ll find recipes more for snacks, ME!mosas, and brunch, but today, we wanted to share with you one of our favorite popcorn recipes!
Chocolate Covered Candy Popcorn Ingredients
- x4 medium-sized Tupperware containers with lids
- Parchment paper
- Cookie sheet
- x1 large mixing bowl
- Popcorn (enough for 8 servings)
- 1 cup each of pink, light blue, purple and white chocolate melting morsels Pastel sprinkles
- Pink candy corns
- Small round pastel chocolates (or big ones if you’re wild)
Chocolate Covered Candy Popcorn Recipe
Follow popcorn instructions for 8 servings. Divide into 4 Tupperware containers and set aside. In microwave-safe bowls, meltdown each color of chocolate in 60-minute intervals stirring in between. Once chocolate melts, pour each into the 4 divided popcorn Tupperware containers and shake.
Pour chocolate covered popcorn onto parchment paper in a single layer and allow to cool. Once hardened pour popcorn into a large mixing bowl and add candy, sprinkles, and unmelted chocolate morsels and mix.
Serve in cute bags or in a small bowl on the cookies and candy charcuterME board you’ll find in the May issue. You can also add other candy into the bowl for extra sweet fun!
